“You are in charge of your own attitude—whatever others do or circumstances you face. The only person you can control is yourself.”
~ Marian Wright Edelman ~
1 Corinthians 10:23(NLT)
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
…so, I’ve learnt that there’s so much I can do about people, situations and challenges. If I truly want a change, then I must look inwards and focus only on those things I have control over.
Sometimes, wise warriors just ignore some battles; they choose the battles they fight based on carefully selected criteria.
Look at your life, what battles have you been fighting? Are they really worth it? What have you made out of them? This is not a call for you to ‘give up’ on good things but you know not all good things are right for you. This is a call to stop pursuing frivolity. This is a call, to focus on those things that matter the most, those ones within your purview of authority. Choose your battles wisely.
Have a great day – HA
